what's in progress?

these stories:

AD 10,000

'We need to make sure we don't repeat the mistakes of the Witless Humanoids with their “bargaining”; also, are we being successful in reversing the flooding of the world?' it typed into its keypad.
The chairdog had its friend and ally (a monkey) to type on its behalf, since it was a very slow typist.

Educational Targets

Clouds looked in the mirror as she prepared for the trip in the Rover to school. She didn't need to work today, and Grunter didn't have a job, so the school trip was a perfect opportunity to be dropped off at the main bus station for a trip into Wherewithal. Grunter had tried complaining that he was hung over from the previous night, or possibly the night before, but Kowlijke had made it very clear that he was a kept man, albeit kept by the state

Darken Stormy - Basic Needs

King Arthur of Cameldung's economic adviser - well, one of several such advisers – was in the royal presence, helping himself to the royal peanuts, scratching the royal Dalmatian behind it's royal ear, and listening intently to the King's latest obsession. His Royal Obsession, rather.

Dire Dregs stories

There are 2 new stories underway.

The first, Educational Targets,, follows the daughter in each of three different families, as she meanders through life at school, and the mothers get together now and then to discuss the teachers and the price of gin.

It features Billi-Jo Dire, the mother of Blonde and Witless;
Kowlijke Dregs, the mother of Sprog;
and Doris the Doormat, the mother of Debbie.

Dire Tribe illustration please

Marty. If you fancy fun and games with your paints - the Dire Tribe, who have featured in several stories, as well as 'spawning' Blonde and Witless', are in need of an illlustration.

Their features show a pronounced rightward curve i the nose due to inbreeding,
their favoUrite chair is the straw bale.
baler twine is just dandy for a belt.
even the kids have rebuilt 4x4s.
their house has an extension (for relatives i.e. the whole district) made from a hollowed out maize combine
favoUrite hat is the baseball cap.
Blonde and Witless will probably be visiting looking SO superior (it's amazing what makeup can do to a bent nose).

Painting - islands of civilisation

Painting - islands of civilisation

Painting - The Citadel

I'm uploading a new painting to my watercolour paintings blog any minute!

Painting of Citadel

I like the feeling of islands of civilisation, very civilised (!), in an otherwise mostly untouched, natural (wild) landscape.
